My name is Kathryn Jones. I've trained extensively in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an approach that focuses on the current thoughts that are creating unwanted emotions. As a life coach, I utilize evidence-based tools to help those with depression, anxiety, anger, relationship concerns as well as goal achievement. I use the same tools and training that psychologists and therapists utilize because I train along side the licensed colleagues.
One of the world's top CBT authority, Dr. David Burns, developed TEAM-CBT. This approach focuses on measurable results and resistance to change. TEAM stands for Testing, Empathy, Agenda Setting and Methods. This combination provides relief from feeling stuck or feeling the pain of depression, anxiety, anger, addictions and other disorders that cause so much pain. Each meeting, I'm utilizing these tools so clients can see measurable progress and identify areas where there is no progress.
